#13 You Have to FOCUS

thisbizlifepodcastcoverart.jpeg

In the latest podcast episode, I share why I will focus on ONE thing for the rest of the year, and why I decided to walk away from the Brown Vegan podcast for the rest of 2019. For some strange reason, I say 2009 in the episode. lol

Listen here….

I’ve been all over the place in my business for the last several years.

Speaking gigs.

Creating Products.

Growing a successful podcast.

Working with brands on sponsorship deals.

Starting and growing a thriving email list.

Creating and growing a YouTube channel.

Consulting with people interested in starting a business.

Doing cooking demos around the country.

Appearing on TV.

Learning funnels and email automation.

This has led to burnout, lots of tears, and not making a LIVING from my passion.

I’m stopping this crazy rollercoaster ride!

#7 WHY YOU SHOULDN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUTUBE CHECKS | HERE'S WHAT YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON INSTEAD

thisbizlifepodcastcoverart.jpeg

Listen here…

I've been seeing a lot of YouTubers complain about their Adsense check being smaller than usual because YouTube isn't monetizing videos.

Some folks are even thinking about leaving the platform altogether.

As a content creator (and viewer), I think YouTube shouldn't be any creator's only source of income.

Here's what you can do instead of relying only on the Adsense check:

  • Sell your own products and services

  • Affiliate links

  • Sponsored videos

  • Use the YouTube platform to book offline opportunities

I can't believe I did it but I'm so glad I did!

In this episode, I talk about how I was able to secure this opportunity, how to combat some of the overwhelm of getting ready for everything in 4 days (including getting my kids ready for an international trip), my struggle with insecurity, and why I will have to stay uncomfortable if I want to grow in life and business.

Listen here....

Lessons Mentioned:

  • Always tap into my community for help

  • Always be ready, so I don't have to get ready

  • It's okay not to be perfect -- being perfect is overrated

  • Write a list and check it twice to combat overwhelm

  • It goes down in the DMs...in a good way

  • Who do I need to become in order to have my best life and business?
